Mobile Breast Cancer screening bus coming to Waterside August 15, 2009 from 9 am - 3pm at Chester Addison  Community Center at 245 Selleck Street. There will be educational "Breast Health" session.

Ceremony for Southfield Park Fence - Date Change March 26, 2009

Good News!  We have been awarded $5,000 from the Neighborhood Empowerment Grant (see attachment) towards installing new fence at Southfield park.
Mayor Malloy will distribute the Grant award check at a ceremony to be held on Thursday, March 26, at 5:30 pm in the Senior Center on the 2nd floor of the Government Center, 888 Washington Boulevard.
Your attendance to this ceremony is important and will show the Mayor the support from Waterside Coalition Community.

Zoning & Land Use Meetings:

1. O&G Coastal Site Plan Application - 72 Davenport Street

To construct a new cement mixer rise out/aggregate material reclaimer facility; construct

nine foot high open bins for aggregate storage and covered structure for storage of winter

salt/sand; manufacture and storage of concrete block; replacement of 12 existing boat slips

with new, relocated floating docks; pave portions of the site to manage dust; and provide

a landscaped buffer area along the Harbor with new fencing walkway, and seating accessible

to the public.

2. Zoning Map Change to 28 Southfield

To rezone a 5.8 acre site currently designed as Coastal Water Dependent District to a Designed

Waterfront Development District for property located on the west branch of the Stamford

Harbor with street frontage on Southfield Avenue, Selleck Street, and Davenport street.

                       Homestead Ave, Orchard St, Selleck St, Milton St, Greenwich Ave,

                       Davenport St, and Southfield Ave.    



FREE PARKING OPTION – Yerwood Center, Bethel AME Church, Bell Street

                                                   Garage (parking pass required).

- Vehicles left on the street will be towed at owner’s



BULKY WASTE REMOVAL – Furniture, mattresses, small yard waste, books, and



                                                    - Leave items on curbside.
